Human and Minotaur were the demo races; Elf is the new race announced for Early Access. Treat the advertised eight-race scope as broader development scope, not a confirmed list of eight launch choices.
The roster you can plan around

| Race | Evidence | Before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Human | Named in the April demo announcement. | Inspect your chosen class pairing and starting abilities. |
| Minotaur | Named in the April demo announcement. | The imposing appearance does not force you into Brawler. |
| Elf | Added in the Early Access content announcement. | Check its class combinations in the updated character creator. |
Choose the pairing, not just the portrait
A race and a class combine into an archetype. For a first character, compare the pairing’s skill tree and the spells you want to use. If you want a spellcasting Minotaur, do not rule it out just because the character looks built for melee.
Why do older videos show fewer races?
The roster has changed during development. Older demo footage shows two race choices; newer footage supplied for this guide shows Human, Elf and Minotaur. A video’s upload date and build matter more than a title that says “all races.”
What about the other five races?
This guide does not assign names, passive bonuses or unlock quests to the remaining advertised slots. Check future developer announcements before committing to a build for a race that is not in the current character creator.
